Suspicious device closes down Pickles Auctions in Tullamarine
BOMB squad investigators have reopened a Tullamarine street after a suspicious device earlier forced the area into lockdown.
The bomb response unit conducted a safety check along Garden Drive and declared the area safe at 5.30pm today.
Victoria Police confirmed there was no threat to public safety.
Earlier, Sgt Kim Bramwell said police were called after an “unknown item was located”.
The device was found at Pickles Auctions, according to 3AW.
The business specialises in the auction of salvageable vehicles.
